Sue Ellen Lutrell Rice- Walker

Sue Ellen Luttrell-Rice-Walker died on March 15th, 2023, at the age of 66. She was the daughter of Leeroy and Lucille Luttrell of Clarendon, Texas. She grew up and graduated from high school in Clarendon. Mrs. Walker graduated from Amarillo Junior College and, while living in Amarillo, worked for the American Quarter Horse Association, First National Bank of Amarillo, Hastings Warehouse, and Amarillo State Center. After moving to Canyon, she worked for Randall County Extension for 22 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jimmy Ray Walker of Canyon; her sister, Sylvia Isaacs of Comanche, Texas; her sister-in-law, Linda Luttrell; and her nephew, Danny Isaacs. Mrs. Walker is survived by her daughter, Amanda Alcantara, and son-in-law Sergio Alcantara of Plano, Texas; step-son, Mark Walker and wife, Dendee of Canyon, Texas; and step-daughter, Pam Walker-Richards of Washington State. She is also survived by her brother, Leo Luttrell of Amarillo; brother, Wondall Luttrell, and wife, Ann of Clarendon, Texas; five step-grandchildren, one nephew, and two nieces.

Mrs. Walker was a member of Rockwell Road Baptist Church and served in their children's bus ministry for many years. She also taught their 9-year-old girls' Sunday school class for some time. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Rockwell Road Baptist Church Children's Ministry, P.O. Box 31495, Amarillo, Texas 79120-1495.
