Tatsu Mary Sender

Tatsu Mary Sender, 98, of Yukon, Oklahoma, passed peacefully on November 13, 2024.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at 10 am, at Llano Cemetery, 2900 S. Hayes St in Amarillo, Texas, with Reverend Chris Condit of Hillside Christian Church presiding.

Mrs. Sender was born in Hokkaido, Japan on October 28, 1926. She was the eldest of 10 children in her family. She married Harold R. Sender and moved to the United States, where they would raise their family together until Harold’s passing on April 27, 1992.

Mrs. Sender was a homemaker by trade. She loved tending to her garden and giving new life to its flowerbeds.

Mrs. Sender is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and numerous siblings. She is survived by her children Katy Lindsey and husband Ken of Yukon, Oklahoma, and Theresa Watson of Amarillo; grandchildren Paul Montgomery of Amarillo, Tiffany Mathes of Yukon, Oklahoma, and Krista Watson of New Haven, Connecticut. Mrs. Sender also leaves behind great-grandchildren Christian Mathes, Remington Montgomery, and Thomas Bigby, and great-great-grandchild Mateo Mathes, as well as one brother and one sister of Hokkaido, Japan.
