Terry Lee Jones

Terry Jones, age 59 of Amarillo died suddenly on September 24, 2022 in Amarillo.

Public viewing will be Friday, September 30th from 12:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel.  A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 11:00 AM at The Loft Church.  Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.

Terry was born in Childress, Texas to his parents Edward and Ruthie Mae Jones.  For over 28 years, until the time of his death, he worked at The Olive Garden, starting out as dishwasher working his way up to cook.

He was a jokester with an incredible smile that brightened up every room he entered.   He had a few passions in life like fishing, dogs, and the Tennessee Titans but those things compared to the love he had for his family.  Family was everything and Terry considered his children to be his best friends.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Bobby Anthony, Bessie Crosby, Shirley Bradley, Bettie Love Jackson, Kat Watson and Nelvine Anthony; and by his parents.

Terry is survived by his wife Barbara Ballard; his children Shawna Irons, Nick Jones and his wife Laura, Jennifer Rodriguez and her husband Martin, Terrance Jones and his wife Brittany Telles; Michael Lyman, Kaleen Jones, Christopher Lyman and his wife Lezley, TJ Jones and his wife Breana Flores and Teresa Jones; by his siblings, Edwards Jones, Jr., Ruby McClendon and Donna Jones; by twenty grandchildren, Anthony Villarreal and his wife Haley, Kayla Villarreal, Edward Irons, Enyiah Irons, Zariah Hernandez, Nicolas Jones, Jr., Alicia Jones, Nicole Klause, Drayson Brundige, Brealynn Seale, Kenlee Telles, Terrance Jones, Jr., Jazlynn Jones, “Baby Boy” Jones due in December, Clayton McMahon Jones, Kaembri Jones, Geo Rodriguez Noey, Ky'ssac Richardson and Kaeson Ellison; and by one great-grandchild Lynox.
