FUNERAL SERVICE: 2:00 PM, Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at Schooler Funeral Home – Brentwood Chapel. BURIAL: Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements by Schooler Funeral Home – 4100 S. Georgia – Amarillo, TX 79110.
Thelma Abel will be available for viewing Monday, December 12th and Tuesday, December 13th.
Thelma Abel was born on February 2, 1926 in Estelline, Texas to Benjamin and Stella Tarver. She was a member of Trinity Baptist church. She worked as a waitress at some of the local restaurants. She enjoyed her time as a nanny and her retirement.
SURVIVORS: Two daughters, Deborah “Debbie” Clark and husband, Bobby, and Donna Kaye Abel; One Son, Richard Carl Abel; Two Sisters, Wilma Gibbs of Wellington, TX and Vida Jean Tarver of Abilene, TX. She had Three Grandchildren and Four Great Grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the Heritage Convalescent Center staff, especially all the nurses and aides of the North end for all the care and attention.
