Thelma Jo (Ferguson) Anglin, 81, of Amarillo passed into the glory of God the Father on February 28, 2022.
Mrs. Anglin will lie in state for viewing on Sunday, March 6, 2022 from 2pm to 6pm at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia. A celebration of Mrs. Anglin’s life will take place in the funeral home’s Brentwood Chapel on Monday, March 7, 2022 at 2pm with Elder Scott Edwards presiding.
Thelma was born on December 4, 1940 in Floydada, Texas to Edith Naomi (Day) and Raymond Rafe Ferguson. She married Donald “Hank” Anglin in October of 1987.
Thelma was a hairdresser in Amarillo for many years. She loved to cook and was known for her made from scratch biscuits and fried chicken. She greatly enjoyed making care packages for her son in law John that contained many homemade goodies. She absolutely adored her grandbabies. Thelma took great pride in raising her grandson Dusty. He was her pride and joy.
Thelma is preceded in death by her husband Hank, her parents, her brother Ray Gene Ferguson, and daughter Sheri Belton. Those left to cherish her memories are her brother Norman Ferguson and wife Mary, daughter Frela Jo Emerson, son Terry Anglin and wife Trish, daughter Sherri Huckins and husband Aaron, and daughter Diana Schehl. Her beloved grandchildren also will cherish the love Grandma so unselfishly gave. They include Dusty, Jenna and husband Jason, Samantha and partner Jeremy, Caleb and wife Makayla, Katelyn, Mallory, Lisa and husband Kenneth, Donald and wife Kelly, Pamela and husband Derik, Adam and wife Holly, Gabriel and wife Taysha, Amber and husband Adam, and Candace and husband Wade.
