The Very Rev. Robert Talmage Hardin Sr

December 22, 1933 — February 13, 2009

Robert T. Hardin Sr. passed from this life on February 13, 2009, at the age of 75.  Robert was born in Hapeville, Georgia to Henry and Nellie Hardin on December 22, 1933.  Robert graduated LSU with a major in business with a minor in music.  He also played trumpet in the University band.  After graduation, Robert joined the United States Army.  On June 27, 1982 he married Doris Harrison in the All Saints Church in Fountain Valley, California.  In 1993 Robert and Doris moved from California to Amarillo.  Throughout his business career, Robert worked for Johnson & Johnson serving as their Vice President in addition to other pharmaceutical companies.  In 1985 Robert was ordained to the Anglican Priesthood where he dedicated his life to the church and also baptized 3 of his grandchildren.  He served as the chaplain at Northwest Texas Hospital for 15 years.    Robert had a great sense of humor and to most people he was known as "Mr. Fix it".  He had a deep love for his dogs and enjoyed gardening.   SURVIVORS: include his wife Doris H. Hardin of Amarillo,  his brother Henry B. Hardin of Hapeville, Georgia, his Daughter Mila Rock of Crown Point, Indiana and his sons Robert T. Hardin II of Huntington Beach, California and Jim Hardin of South Weber, Utah.  8 grandchildren Robert, Jenni, Nikki, Wendi, Eric, Alicia, Amanda and Allyson and 2 great grandchildren Kaden and Braeden.
