Thomas Gail Cummings

Thomas Gail Cummings, 74, of Amarillo died November 28, 2022.

Memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 2, 2022 at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St.

With great sadness after a lengthy battle with dementia our family announced the passing of Thomas (Tom) Gail Cummings on November 28th in Amarillo Texas. Tom was surrounded by those he loved most.

Tom was born in Comanche Texas on May 21st 1948 to Roby and Maggie Cummings. Tom was preceded in death by his life partner Michael Criswell in 2012, his parents, brothers Bobby Lonnie and Joe Roy. Sister in law Linda, sister Myrtle Tarvin and nephews Perry Neal Cummings and Colton Brown. Tom is survived by one brother Billy (Rhonda) of Idalou, Texas and a host of nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly. He graduated from Lubbock High then joined the U.S. Army serving two years.

After retiring from Owens Corning in 2012 Tom’s passion was traveling, playing pool, going to the races both horse and car. Tom was a board member for the Panhandle Aids Support Organization where he chaired a seat for many years. Tom gave his all in everything he did.
