Tommy Mock died peacefully in his home in Amarillo, Texas on August 20, 2019.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 24 at 10:00 a.m. at Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel, 4100 Georgia St. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.
The son of Raymond and Docia Mock, he was born March 16, 1936 in Seneca, New Mexico and grew up in Clayton, New Mexico where he graduated from Clayton High School.
After high school, Tommy moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado, where he met the love of his life, Elphia Winkler. They recently celebrated 62 years of marriage. Tommy was a skilled carpenter and ran his own siding contracting business in Colorado Springs and later used those skills in Las Vegas, Nevada. Upon retirement, he moved to Amarillo, Texas to be closer to his grandchildren. He was a sports enthusiast and attended all of the events his grandchildren were involved in, no matter where in Texas that took him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Elphia, his two daughters, Glena McPeters and Gala Beals, her husband David, granddaughter Kyla Frye, her husband Braden and their son Talon, grandson CJ Carpenter, his wife Lindsey and their son Taylor, and brothers Jesse Emmitt Mock and Sammy Mock. He is also survived by Courtnie Beals, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Billie Mock.
