Tressie Mecie Quinn

August 8, 1916 — June 19, 2011

TRESSIE M. SUTTON INSCORE QUINN, age 94, passed away
peacefully on June 19, 2011 in Amarillo, Texas, with loved ones at her side.

Graveside services will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday, June 23, 2011 in Cedervale Cemetery, Bay City, Texas where she will be laid to rest next to her husband, Toby and near her mother Josie E. Sutton. Arrangements are entrusted to Schooler Funeral Home in Amarillo.

Tressie was born to Josie E. & Francis M. Sutton in McGregor, Texas,
on August 8, 1916, but grew up in Bay City, Texas where she met and
married her husband, Aubrey "Toby" Inscore. They moved to the Texas hill country where they built an electrical
service business. Tressie also worked for the Texas Department of Parks and
Wildlife, where she soon became a "mother" to all her "boys" working for
the Parks district.

She was an enthusiastic member of the Kerr County Republican Party,
serving as their secretary-treasurer for several terms. She was an active
member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church as well as a dedicated "Pink
Lady" volunteer of Sid Peterson Hospital, where she was honored for her
length of service.

Later in life, she married Harold J. Quinn and they enjoyed traveling
until infirmity kept them at home until his death in 2004. Tressie was the
loving mother of three children who survive her: Aubrey F. Inscore of
Blessing, Texas, Robert L. Inscore of Houston and Susan L. Furgiuele of Amarillo. She was a doting grandmother of 12 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.

Tressie's family would like to thank all her many caregivers, both in
Kerrville and Amarillo who helped ease her later years. All are truly God's
angels on this earth and we thank them for their love, compassionate care
and support.

The family requests that memorials be made in Tressie's name to St. Paul's United Methodist Church 4317 W. I-40 Amarillo, Texas 79106; or to Peterson Hospice 1121 Broadway  Kerrville, Texas 78028; and  Hospice of the Southwest,  1301 S. Coulter St. 404 Amarillo, Texas 79106.  Whose members lovingly comforted both her and
her family as she left this world for the next.
