MAXINE DAVIS, 87, of Amarillo died, November 6, 2012.
The family will receive guests at the funeral home from 6-7:00 PM on Friday, November 9.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel with Rev. Ken Haney officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Maxine was born on July 7, 1925 in Ft. Worth, to Virgil and Ida Woodall. She graduated from Memphis High School. She met Willard “Jake” Davis and six weeks later, they were married on August 10, 1946 in Clovis NM (and they said it wouldn’t last). Maxine worked as a Unit Clerk at Northwest Texas Hospital for over 20 years having won Employee of the Year one year. She loved her children and grandchildren more than anything. Her family describes her as totally selfless and completely generous to others. She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 sisters, Addie Farrell and Tressie Greer and Ruby Satriano and 3 brothers, Vernon and Jimmie Woodall and Bill Davis.
Maxine is survived by Jake her husband of 66 years, 4 children, Ron Davis and wife Donna of Lagos, Nigeria, Debbie Pardo and husband Rafael of Baytown, Darrell Davis and wife Fawn and Donna Lucas and husband Walter, all of Amarillo; 3 sisters, Oleta Sparks of Whitesboro, Lorene Plaster and husband George of Amarillo and Florene Alato and husband James of Del City, OK; 10 grandchildren, Brent Davis, April LeBon, Sara Davis, Laura Arellano Davis, Alicia Pardo McCullough, Warren Davis, Marisa Pardo, Michelle Pardo, Kelsey Stater and Luke Lucas and 8 great-grandchildren, Amanda Barnett, Logan Barnett, Brenna Davis, Alex LeBon, David Stater, Sean Aguilar, Tressie Stater, and Daniel Arellano.
