Virginia Ruth Pitt

Virginia Ruth Pitt, 99, of Amarillo went to her Heavenly Home on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 to be united with her husband of 66 years, Otto L. Pitt.

A visitation will be held from 2-3:00 p.m., Sunday, July 29, 2018 at Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel. Celebration of Life services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 30, 2018 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St.

Virginia was born November 17, 1918 in Bemidji, MN to Ira and Pearl Cook and she was raised in Portales, NM. Otto and Virginia married in 1937 and made their home in Amarillo, TX where they raised 3 children and co-owned and operated Arrow Electric.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Otto; and 9 siblings.

Virginia is survived by 3 children, Larry Pitt and wife, Melda, David Pitt and wife Pam, and Judith Parr and husband, Don; she was also very much loved by her grandchildren; Deven Pitt and wife Kristin, Tracy Barnett and husband, Shawn, Amber McElreath and husband, Jimmy, Eric Pitt and wife, Kate Veraldi, Mary Malone and husband, John, and Sharon Reagan and husband, Daniel; 12 great-grandchildren; and special nieces, Jerry Siess, Lucy Karr, and Tomi Nell Townsend.

The family would like to thank the angels at BSA Hospice of the Southwest for their loving care of our precious mother and grandmother.
