Virginia Aileene Rice Myrick

Virginia Aileene Rice Myrick, 74, of Amarillo passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Monday, September 17, 2018.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Hart Cemetery, in Hart, Texas. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St.

Virginia was born July 1, 1944 in Littlefield, TX to John Rice and Zella Scott Rice. She attended Hart High School and Amarillo College.

Virginia married Ralph Myrick on January 7, 1961 in Hart. She worked as a licensed cosmetologist for many years. Virginia was strong in her Christian faith and was a member of First Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing tennis, and was an avid sports fan. Virginia loved her family and her dogs dearly.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Zella Rice; daughter, Pachus Aileene Myrick; sister, Marian Stolcis; and brothers, L.J. Rice and Royce Rice.

Virginia is survived by her husband, Ralph of Amarillo; daughter, Johnna Myrick of Amarillo; son, Chad Myrick and wife, Misty of Amarillo; sister, June Davis of Hart; 4 grandchildren, Blake Barnes and wife, Kelly of Amarillo, Macy Myrick of Fayetteville, Madison Myrick of Dallas, and Jacob Myrick of Amarillo; and 2 step great-grandchildren, Paige and Jenna Stavenhagen of Amarillo.
