Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 26th, at First Presbyterian Church. Dr. Jim Bankhead, Dr. Alan Burkhalter and Dr. Murray Gossett will officiate. Private burial will be held at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Mrs. Saucier was reared in Wichita Falls, Texas. She attended Ward Belmont Girls School in Nashville, TN, and graduated from the University of Texas, in Austin, TX, where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta. She married Frank Saucier in 1950, in Wichita Falls, TX. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and a past president of The Junior League of Amarillo. Mrs. Saucier served on many community boards including; Boards of Presbyterian Women, Amarillo Symphony, Amarillo Junior League, Amarillo Art Center, Amarillo Art Alliance (charter member), Harrington House, Opportunity School, American Cancer Society, American Red Cross, Kappa Alpha Theta, Amarillo and Borger Young Life, and Borger Senior Citizen Center.
Mrs. Saucier taught Women’s Bible studies extensively emphasizing the roles of a Christian wife and mother. She was a national level speaker and leader of seminars, encouraging bible study and prayer.
She is survived by her husband, Frank Saucier; a daughter, Sara McGee Saucier; a son, John Frederick Saucier; and two granddaughters, Mary Claiborne Saucier of Ft. Worth, TX, and Alexandra Lee Saucier of Amarillo, TX; and a sister, Mrs. Willis E. Anderson of Wichita Falls, TX.
