Virginia Lee Tabor, 84, of Amarillo died January 19, 2013.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Hillside Amarillo South, 6901 South Bell with Pastor Craig Albracht and Roger Arnold officiating. Interment will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Virginia was born December 30, 1928 in Blackwell, Oklahoma to Edgar and Alma Giddens. She and her family moved to Pampa in 1932 where she grew up and graduated from Pampa High School. Virginia married Jackie Tabor on February 28, 1948, they made Pampa their home until 1967 when they moved to Perryton. She and Jackie moved to Amarillo in 2009. Virginia loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was a member at Hillside Amarillo South, where she loved to sing, see her church friends, and praise her Lord. Virginia was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, and a friend who was loved by all and will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jackie Tabor, a son in law, Larry Bailey, a grandson, Travis Kuykendall, and three brothers, Eddie Giddens, Jimmy Giddens, and Wayne Giddens.
Virginia is survived by her daughters, Susan Bailey of Amarillo, Cindy Lewis and husband Richard of Amarillo, and Carol Anderson and husband Daric of San Angelo, a son, Gary Don Tabor and wife Sheila of Pampa, a sister, Sarah McKee and husband Roy of Midland, and her sister in law June Hendrickson of Fritch, and her Grandchildren, Laura Weddle and husband Bryan, Chad Padgett and wife Debbie, Ashley Pshigoda, Austin Pshigoda and Felicia Walton, Jason Pshigoda and wife Barb, Cody Gift, Justin Pshigoda and wife Jessica, Blake Gift and wife Cristina , Joshua Tabor and wife Jahz, Jessica Tabor, James Tabor, Tracie Lewis, Chris Lewis and wife Jamie, and Scott Lewis and wife Yvonne, Her Great Grandchildren, Erin Weddle, Everett Weddle, Meagon Reynolds, Braden Padgett, Ashton Padgett, Sheridan Padgett, Jordyn Pshigoda, Grant Pshigoda, Averi Pshigoda, Sydney Walton, Sean Walton, Savanna Pshigoda, Laila Pshigoda, Ellie Pshigoda, Gabriel Lewis, Jacob Lewis, Jetta Lewis, Talon Lewis, Eryn Calderon, Isis Kuykendall, Bradley Kuykendall, Hanna Kuykendall, Zachary Gift, Madison Gift, and Phillip Gift, One Great Great Grandchild Sammy Calderon and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Monday, January 21, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.
