Virginia Tunnell

May 16, 1917 — May 28, 2012

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, June 1, in New Dublin Live Oak Cemetery in Dublin, Texas.  A memorial service will be held at a later date in Amarillo.  Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia.

Virginia was a member of St. Stephen United Methodist Church, Bridge Builders Sunday School at St. Stephen, Easter Star Angleton Chapter 54, Ramalla Temple #89, Daughters of the Nile in Galveston, and the Tri County Porcelain Club.  She had been married to her husband of 60 years, Monroe, until his death.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Monroe Wilson; three children, Walter Tunnell, Peggy Tunnell, Kathy Bandy, two granddaughters, Kimberly Upton and Katy Bandy; two brothers, Shipman Biddlecom and Bobby Biddlecom and her parents.

Survivors include a son, Pat Tunnell and wife, Sharon; four grandchildren, Michael Bandy, Patrick Bandy, Connie Volk and husband Michael and Jason Monroe Tunnell; and eight great-grandchildren, Brandon, Brent and Brady Upton, Tomás, Josef, Miriam, Abigail and Leah Volk.
