Vigil service will be held at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, August 5 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 6 at the church, with Rev. Tony Neusch as celebrant. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Mr. Manske was born July 22, 1933 in Marinette, Wisconsin to Walter and Lucille Manske. He was a corporal in the US Army, serving during the Korean War as a Tank Commander. He married Mary Ann Anderson in Pestigo, Wisconsin on August 18, 1956. He retired as a tanner after 35 years of service. He also worked with his sons on Lake Michigan out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin as a charter boat captain taking people fishing. The last several years, he drove a school bus for AISD and Canyon school districts. Walter enjoyed politics and watching TV in his leisure time. He was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents and by his sister Beverly Beauparlent.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann of Amarillo; three sons, Craig Manske and wife Sue of Chicago, Brian Manske and wife Kathy of Gilbert, AZ and Scott Manske of Amarillo; one daughter, Mary Brazell and husband Tony of Dumas; his grandchildren, Eric Brazell and wife, Brittany; Jordan and Karissa Brazell; Brandon, Chris and Jenny Manske; and one great-grandchild, Avary Brazell.
