Walter Henry Wilke

Walter Henry Wilke was born in Ceylon, MN on February 16, 1933 to Walter and Annabelle Wilke. Walt (or Bud as his parents called him) passed away on Thursday, June 4th, 2020 in Amarillo, TX at the age of 87.

Walt served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Washington and England. He was a handy man of many trades including farming, mechanics and building. He was always known for his love of animals and gained the nickname Dr. Doolittle.

Walter was proceeded in death by his mother and father, his first wife Eunice Joyce Wilke and his second wife Helen Jean Wilke, his 2 daughters Roberta and Lisa, and his stepdaughter Tina.

He is survived by his younger sister and brother Alice and Wayne.  Also, by his sons Wayne, John and wife Barbara, Mark and wife Elizabeth and his daughter Mary. Also by his many stepchildren, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and even a great great grandchild.

He was dearly loved by his family. A small service for immediate family will be held on June 16th, 2020 at 11am.
