Welleyn Lea Bullis

Dr. W.L. “Doc” Bullis passed away on October 27, 2012.

Visitation will be from 7:00pm to 8:00pm, Tuesday, October 30, at Schooler Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 2:00p.m.Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at Kingswood United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Brad Reeves officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home 4100 S. Georgia St.

Dr. Bullis was born on July 31, 1937 in Merced County, California to Angus and Laura Bullis. He graduated from Modesto Jr. College. Doc moved to Texas in the early 1960’s graduating from TCU, and later Baylor University in 1967, where he received his Doctorate in Dentistry. He married Jane Minton on July 16, 1983. Dr. Bullis enjoyed hunting, fishing, football, classic cars, bass guitar playing, and baseball. He was active in Boys Scouts.  Doc was an Army Veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and a sister.

He is survived by his wife Jane Bullis, two sons Gray Bullis and wife Debra of Irving, and Jason Bullis of Amarillo. Sister Fern Clemmer and husband Gene of Napa, CA., Brother Wayne Bullis and wife Alvie of Coulterville, CA. and one granddaughter Cyndee Bullis.
