Wendell Garrison age 65 of Amarillo died Monday August 31, 2011.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday September 3, 2011 at the First Church of the Nazarene located at 5201 Soncy Rd. with Rev. Carol Hartsfield officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St.
Wendell was born January 31, 1946 in Petaluma, CA unto Windford and Robbie Garrison. He was raised and educated in Amarillo, TX. He joined the Army in 1964 and was honorably discharged in 1967 as a Sargent. He was employed as a self employed machine operator.
Proceeded in death by his parents, one sister and four brothers.
Survived by his wife, Sylvia Boyd Garrison; a son Bill Bennett and his wife Angie of Amarillo, and his brothers Bobby Garrison and his wife Becky of Grand Junction, CO. and Tracey Garrison and his wife Shanna of Amarillo, TX. his sisters Elaine Collins, Carole Stovall, Glenda Ridge all of Amarillo, TX. Two grandchildren Hope and Lexie of Amarillo and one great grandchild Konshuhns of Amarillo, TX and a host of nieces and nephews.
