Bill was born Dec. 28, 1946, in San Angelo. He was a beloved husband, son, father and friend, who passed away unexpectedly in Houston on Saturday, June 27, 2009.
He graduated from Amarillo High School in 1965, and earned a degree in accounting from Texas Tech University. Bill became a licensed CPA in 1970, and specialized in forensic accounting. He was employed at Accumyn Consulting in Houston.
Bill had an outgoing and gregarious personality and was known for his funny re-telling of his life's experiences. He was an old-school do-it-yourselfer and found great joy in restoring his home. Many people were unaware that he was a singer and songwriter who loved country music.
He will be remembered for his love for his wife, family, long-term friendships and for his kind soul.
Survivors include his loving wife, Ronda Foran Kelly of Houston; his mother, Katherine Allred of Amarillo; a sister, Janice Hollingsworth and husband Robert of Albuquerque, N.M.; and his children, Rachel Blaylock and husband John and Kathryn Kelly, all of New York City, and Will Kelly of Dallas. Bill was a proud grandfather of three and was a friend to his three stepchildren.
