Willie Mae Rackley

Willie Mae Rackley, 84, of Amarillo, died May 29, 2018.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Trinity Baptist Church in Amarillo, Texas. Burial will take place on June 1, 2018 at 11 a.m. in Mountain View, Oklahoma. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.

Willie Mae Rackley filled her 84 years of life making the world a better place by focusing on what she could give, rather than what she could get. When there was a need, Willie was always the first in line to lend a helping hand; whether she was serving her church, her family, or her friends.

Willie was active in church her whole life, selflessly giving of her time and talents. From making quilts in the quilt ministry to delivering tapes to the nursing home, Willie was most content serving behind the scenes.

While Willie was involved in many things, family was always her first priority. Nothing brought her more joy than being with her family. Willie will be missed by Audie her husband of 61 years; three daughters Leicia Redwine, Renee’ Brown, and Audette Rackley; four grandchildren Tristan Brown, Shea Brown, Lauren Morris and Leah Redwine; six great-grandchildren; as well as other family members and friends.

The family suggests memorials be made to Trinity Baptist Church Quilt Ministry or Hearts of Faith Sunday School Class, 1601 I-40, Amarillo, Texas 79109.
