February 5, 1939 — November 15, 2013

Willie Dean Russell, 74, was born to Ira and Rose Russell on February 5, 1939 in Shattuck, Oklahoma. His journey on Earth finally done, Dean received his heavenly reward on November 15, 2013 as God gently welcomed him home with the words “Well done My Good and Faithful Servant”.

Dean was retired from Coca Cola/ Custom Food Group where he was employed for more than 50 years.

PapaDaddy, as he was affectionately known by his family, will always be remembered for his Servant’s heart, gentle smile and unwavering faith in God. He was known for his willingness to offer a helping hand to anyone at any time. A brilliantly talented man, he had the ability to fix anything. It was often said that all he needed was a little bailing wire and some duct tape. He enjoyed woodworking and was a gifted craftsman, often fashioning handmade toys and cherished keepsakes for his children and grandchildren. Dean deeply loved his family and by God’s Grace was given the opportunity to be surrounded by them in his last days.

The Righteous Man walks in his integrity; His children are blessed after him. Proverbs 20:7 NKJV

Dean is survived by his daughters, Lisa Russell of Amarillo and Shelly Russell McNutt and husband Garlan of Claremore, OK; His grandchildren Tiffany Buckley and husband Michael, Angela Chickering and fiancé Brady Pierce, Jordan Brackeen and Abby Richardson, and McKenzie Brackeen and fiancé Brandon Autry; His great grandchildren Brandon, Tyler and Alyssa Buckley and Samantha Chickering all of Amarillo; His brothers Boyd Russell and wife Shirley of Tulsa, OK and Errol Russell and wife Susan of Edmond, OK. and numerous nieces, nephews and cherished friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sisters June Malone and husband Jay and Coeta Lewis and husband Arthur.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Ali Jaffar for his unwavering care of our precious PapaDaddy.
