Wilma Westerby

A Funeral Service will be held Friday October 1, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Brentwood Chapel of Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia with Rev. Ron Sullivan officiating. Arrangments by Schooler Funeral HomeWilma Westerby was born on December 25, 1925 to Charles and Geneva Chapman in Pontiac, Michigan. She was a meter maid for the city of Amarillo for 20 years and taught children’s church. She was a Sunday school teacher for many years and played the accordion and piano. Wilma loved her Lord and family and liked to have regular family gatherings. She was loved dearly and will be missed.She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter Sharon Perales, two sisters, and two brothers.She is survived by her husband Charles “Chuck” Westerby, sons, Charles Westerby and wife Linda, Kenneth Westerby and wife Ginger, Phil Martin and wife Cheryl all of Amarillo; sister Irene Gorbett of Lennon, Michigan; eleven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials be sent to First Church of the Nazarene or BSA Hospice.
