Mrs. Goodman was born in Childress, Texas on September 1, 1912. She grew up in Clayton, New Mexico and Crowell Texas. She lived for many years in Panhandle, where she was active in First Baptist Church as a Sunday School teacher and as a member of the WMU. Mrs. Goodman moved to Amarillo in 1965and worked as an LVN at BSA Hospital and took great joy in helping people. She was an expert seamstress and tailor. She was a member of First Baptist Church Amarillo and the Joy Sunday School Class.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Tave Gibson; her husband of 42 years Fred W. Goodman; five brothers, JW Gibson, Louis Gibson, Raymond Gibson, Vernon Gibson, and Leroy Gibson; and sister Dorene “Ann” Graham.
