The celebration of Zachary’s birth to Fred and Jan Lane was January 15, 1992. He attended Bushland Elementary School and was a senior at Tascosa High School. He was a dedicated member of the Tascosa baseball team.
Learning from his best friend and father, Zach was a true renaissance man. At once a son, brother, grandson, uncle, friend, teammate, mentor and an old soul. He truly loved life and his curiosity led him to explore everything he touched from baseball, hunting, fishing, tinkering with mechanics, dancing and music.
Zachary was an avid reader and voracious dreamer, the sky was the limit for every topic of conversation. His incredibly sharp wit and tender spirit gave everyone he touched a sense of hilarious peace and resolvement. We will cherish all of the love we received from him forever, and will celebrate Zachary’s life with his intentions of embracing all of the beauty and love there is in this world and the next, still to be explored.
Zach is survived by his loving family, parents Fred and Jan Lane, his sisters, Tara, Jessica and Berkley all of Chicago, Nicole of Amarillo, Libby of New York City and Rebecca of Bushland; his special nephew Eli of Bushland; grandparents, Tom and Luthrine Wright of Davidson, OK and Gwen Potts of Amarillo; a very large extended family and many, many friends.
