Zoma Mozell Sneed

Zoma Mozell Sneed born March 16, 1930, in Eastland County, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2009 in California. Funeral Services will be held Monday, January 11th, at 2:00pm, at Brentwood Chapel, Schooler Funeral Home.  Mr. Glen Walton of Bell Avenue Church of Christ will officiate. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.Zoma lived in Clovis, New Mexico, during her childhood and graduated from Clovis High School. She attended Business College in Amarillo, TX.  Zoma was employed as a bookkeeping supervisor at J.C. Penney in Amarillo, for 36 years and she retired in 1995.  She was a resident of Amarillo, for more than sixty years. Since October, 2008, she had been living in Redondo Beach, California.She is preceded in death by her parents, William E. Sneed and Alice A. Ashcraft Sneed; by three brothers, Athaniel Sneed, Marlin Sneed and Donald Sneed; by three sisters, Junior Merl Botts, Goldia Manzella, and Betty Case. She is survived by her niece, Marsha Carr and husband, Ken, and their daughters, Mellissa Ammerman and husband, Bill, and Alicia Wanke and husband, Dale, and grandsons, and  a nephew, Milburn Lewis Botts all of California. She is also survived by nieces; Donna, Jackie, Peggy, Deana, Mary Alice, Michael, Joyce, Bill, Wanda, Kathryn, Marilyn and their children and grandchildren. Her family was spread all over the United States. Zoma shared many happy memories with her special friends; Janeece and Byron Parsons of Amarillo and her other fellow J. C. Penney retirees.
