Donna Gayle Sewell, 68, of Amarillo died Sunday, August 2, 2015.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 7, 2015 in Brentwood Chapel, Schooler Funeral Home, Deacon Bill McConnell officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St.
Donna was born on November 6, 1946 in Amarillo to Kenneth and Frances Moreland. She met Thad Leslie Sewell when she was 12 years old. She saved him from drowning at Thompson Park. They were together from that point on and married in 1965. To her last moments, she was cracking jokes.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a grandson, Nicki Meza.
She is survived by a daughter, Crystal Meza and husband Marcy of Amarillo; a son, Brian Sewell of Noble, OK; a sister, Jaynie McConnell of Amarillo; three brothers, Bill McConnell and wife Sandra of Amarillo, John McConnell of Groom and Hank McConnell and wife Holly of Midland; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
